Moving your shipment by road we are able to enjoy our beautiful countryside, but in order to contribute to the conservation of our planet and to counteract the impact that road transport may cause, CN has initiated a policy to combat the CO2 emissions, which helps to compensate against global warming and the greenhouse effect
In November 2009, we launched a plan called ‘Responsitreelidad’, aimed at planting trees to redress the carbon dioxide emission in the atmosphere with each and every shipment we transported by road. We planted a large number of indigenous Mediterranean trees in the reforestation mountain range of Alcaraz, in the Albacete region.
The driving force behind our objective was to help prevent Climate Change and the desertification of certain areas. Thanks to this project we’ve helped to guarantee the survival of a great number of trees, which in turn helps to slow down the absorption of the CO2 effect, and assist in the transformation of oxygen.
We are also concerned about the individuals in our society, that’s why at CN we render our support to initiatives whose objectives aim to improve the integration and participation of our disabled community.
